New London — Peggy S. Greene, 55, of New London, born Oct. 30, 1962, entered eternal life peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018, surrounded by her family.
She was born in New London to her mother Gay Mellow Everett. Peggy is predeceased by her husband, Douglas M. Greene.
She is survived by her three daughters and spouses, Mandy Mims and Lavelle Mims, Jennifer Greene Dyment and Thomas Dyment Jr., and Stacy Hill and Quinci Hill; seven grandchildren, Douglas and Desmond Greene, Thomas III and Tegan Dyment, Kamryn Gurnee, Mitsue and Aaliyah Mims. She loved spending time with them all when she could. They brought her life joy and happiness and she was so proud to be their Nana.
Peggy is predeceased by her brother, Richard Goss and is survived by her brothers, Jesse Brown and his children, Jesse Brown Jr. and Kaitlyn Brown and her brother, William Brown; and her sister-in-law, Lori Greene and her daughter, Kelly Hillman and great-nephew, Gabriel Bekanich. Peggy was a homebody; she always had the family’s kids over all the time; she loved all the kids. No matter what, if any of her nieces and nephews wanted to go over she had the door always open for all.
She has said, “I lived a happy life and what comes next I’m OK with.” Proud daughter, mother, sister, aunt and most of all NANA. She had a big loving family and all who knew her will miss her dearly.
Her family would also like to thank her team at DaVita and a special thank you to her nurse Heather Johnston-Nichols and if anyone would like to make donations they can do so by making them to DaVita or the kidney foundation.
Services will be taken care of by Abbey Cremation in Rocky Hill and will be private.
