The Denver Post - - BUSINESS - By Tamara Chuang

Zayo Group ended 2015 by wrapping up its acquisition of Viatel’s European fiber network for 98.8 million euro, or $ 107.4 million, which is about $ 4.13 million higher than previously announced.

The Boulder Internet fiber company plans to use the new infrastructure, plus Viatel’s non- Irish enterprise businesses, to expand its network in Europe. The deal includes more than 5,200 miles of fiber in eight countries plus seven data centers and connections to 81 buildings. Zayo built a business linking office buildings with highspeed connections.

The Zayo purchase excluded Viatel’s Irish operations, which are owned by the Digiweb Group in Ireland.
