Nuggets: Kenneth Faried (neck) did not practice Tuesday because of continued soreness stemming from the injury he suffered Saturday night at Golden State. However, he is expected to play, said Nuggets coach Michael Malone, who added: “I’d be surprised if he doesn’t play. Then again, in that kind of a situation with your neck, your vertebrae, you don’t want to take any chances.” … Center Jusuf Nurkic, who had been on a 15-minute limit, will see an increase in court time against Minnesota, Malone said. Expect that number to be in the 20-minute range.

Timberwolves: Other than the ongoing absence of center Nikola Pekovic, who has missed the entire season because of Achilles tendon rehab, Minnesota is reporting no other significant injuries, and all other players are available to play. … The Timberwolves are 4-15 since starting the season 8-8 and have lost 11 of their last 14 games, including a current three-game skid.
