BOULDER’S RE/MAX TOPPED $1B IN 2015
For people trying to buy a house in Boulder County, 2015 was rough. For people selling a home, and the agents representing them, it was a very good year.
Re/Max of Boulder reached a new benchmark of $1 billion in sales, a 22 percent increase over 2014, said D.B. Wilson of Re/Max.
“We set a goal as a company of $1 billion, and we did just over that,” Wilson said. “We helped a lot of families find a place to stay.”
Although year-end figures on countywide sales were not available, mid-2015 data from Re/Max showed that median home prices rose 10 percent from the middle of 2014.
The office’s 103 agents brokered slightly less than 2,200 residential transactions in the metro area.
The transactions, most of which were in Boulder County, were up about 7.5 percent from the previous year.
“Sometimes, we’ve had buyers that lost out 10 times,” Wilson said. “There are a lot of people that find their dream home and make a really good offer, and somebody else does outbid them. It’s definitely quite an emotional experience and can be challenging in that regard.”
