Hinds, “Leave Me Alone”

The Denver Post - - LIFE & CULTURE -

“Leave Me Alone,” the debut album from Madrid’s unlikely breakout fuzz and buzz band Hinds, is breezy and lo-fi, as if it was recorded in the world’s sunniest garage. They turns love over throughout the record, examining it with the urgency of a daydream. Polish some of these songs up, and they’d be treacly, but as they are, they’re about as sweet as a moody cat. The next place you see Hinds will probably be bigger than a basement. But familiar, mid-tempo garage rock can get a band only so far. —Ashley Dean
