National Western Stock Show ropes in the whole family

saturday- jan. Generations of Westerners will be represented at the 110th National Western Stock Show, so giving kids something to do is practically a requirement. Fortunately, the stock show— taking place in and around the National Western Complex north of downtown— has lots of experience with that. Walk- ups can enjoy petting zoos and pony rides, but the meat of the stock show is scheduled and ticketed events like the stick- horse rodeo, Top Hogs animal- tricks show, pedal- tractor races, folkloric dancers, Mutton Bustin’ and themarquee, family- friendly rodeos and competitions. Various times through Jan. 24 at 4655 Humboldt St. General admission: $ 3-$ 19. 303- 295- 6124 or nationalwestern. com for more.— John Wenzel
