greenville, s.c.» Jaron Blos­somgame scored 17 points and Avry Holmes con­trib­uted 16, pro­pel­ling Clem­son to a 66-62 vic­tory over No. 16 Louisville on Sun­day.

The Tigers (10-6, 3-1 At­lantic Coast) led for the en­tire se­cond half but had to hold on late. With Clem­son up 64-58, Sidy Djitte fouled Louisville’s Jaylen John­son on a dunk. John­son missed the free throw, but Qu­ni­ton Snider got the re­bound and the Car­di­nals (13-3, 2-1) made two more free throws to trail 64-62 with 5.5 sec­onds re­main­ing. Holmes then was fouled and made two foul shots to clinch Clem­son’s first win over a ranked ACC team in the Tigers’ last 11 tries. Bryn Forbes scored 20 points, and No. 5 Michi­gan State wel­comed back Den­zel Valen­tine with a 92-65 rout of Penn State. Forbes made six of the Spar­tans’ 10 3-point­ers and scored all his points in the first half of a game in which they never trailed. … Josh Hart scored 22 points and Ryan Ar­cidi­a­cono had 11 to help No. 11 Vil­lanova get past No. 18 But­ler 60-55. The Wild­cats (14-2, 4-0 Big East) have won six straight to re­main the con­fer­ence’s only un­beaten team in league play. … Ben Moore scored a ca­reer-high 23 points and Nic Moore added 20, and short-handed No. 15 SMU is still un­de­feated at 15-0 mid­way through the sea­son af­ter an 88-73 vic­tory over Cen­tral Florida. … Mal­colm Hill’s 30 points lifted Illinois over No. 20 Pur­due 84-70.
