Search on­go­ing for Florida man miss­ing in Rocky Moun­tain Na­tional Park

Search-and-res­cue per­son­nel on Thurs­day looked for a 58-year-old Florida man miss­ing in Rocky Moun­tain Na­tional Park.

Ron­ald Web­ber, of Mait­land, was re­ported over­due Thurs­day from a moun­taineer­ing trek, prob­a­bly in the Longs Peak area.

His car had been found at the Longs Peak trail­head. Web­ber re­port­edly set off from the trail­head Tues­day morn­ing. He was not pre­pared to spend the night. Web­ber has been to the Longs Peak area in the past, but not dur­ing win­ter.

Rocky Moun­tain Na­tional Park Search and Res­cue team mem­bers searched the area Thurs­day af­ter­noon, in­clud­ing the Roar­ing Fork drainage and the east cirque of Longs Peak in the Chasm Lake area. The search will re­sume Fri­day. Kieran Ni­chol­son, The Den­ver Post
