B Captain Mark Hancock said he had “intel” indicating Martin Wirth might become physically combative. He said he thought there was a possibilit­y Wirth might become barricaded in the home. Captain Hancock said they discussed making the eviction a “SWAT call” and they decided it wasn’t necessary. B Wirth was denied insurance at State Farm for not having a valid driver’s license, and Wirth got very upset and told the office staff he was going to get a gun and shoot the first officer he saw. B Martin believed police were killing homeless people in Denver and was often posting anti-police things online. B Wirth had been evicted before and had told a neighbor the next time the cops came they would have to “carry him out dead.”
