I sincerely hope all retired military and veterans who receive health care from the Department of Veterans Affairs carefully read Amendment 69, since it will impose a huge tax increase for absolutely no benefit. Military retirees over 65 who receive health care through Medicare and Tricare for Life will be especially hard-hit. The huge tax increase proposed in Amendment 69 for no benefit will make many like myself who are now satisfied with their health care and enjoy the Colorado lifestyle think seriously of leaving Colorado for a more rational state if it passes. It will certainly deter military personnel from retiring in Colorado or moving here after retirement.
