A class-ac­tion law­suit was filed Thurs­day in fed­eral court claim­ing the city of Den­ver, as owner of Red Rocks Am­phithe­ater, vi­o­lates the Amer­i­cans with Dis­abil­i­ties Act by dis­crim­i­nat­ing against pa­trons who use wheel­chairs.

The law­suit, filed in U.S. Dis­trict Court in Den­ver, claims that con­cert­go­ers who use wheel­chairs are re­stricted to “all but the most dis­tant seats” of the 9,525 ca­pac­ity, world-fa­mous out­door the­ater in Mor­ri­son, opened in 1906.

Six plain­tiffs, all res­i­dents of Colorado, on be­half of them­selves and other sim­i­larly sit­u­ated peo­ple, filed suit to en­sure “they … have equal and mean­ing­ful ac­cess to this re­mark­able Colorado trea­sure.”

All the plain­tiffs have a “dis­abil­ity” that lim­its or im­pairs ac­tiv­i­ties, in­clud­ing but not lim­ited to walk­ing.

They all rely on a a wheel­chair for mo­bil­ity, ac­cord­ing to the law­suit.

High school teacher ac­cused of sex as­sault.

west­min­ster» A teacher at West­min­ster High School was ar­rested on sus­pi­cion of sex­u­ally as­sault­ing a stu­dent.

Ben­jamin Forbes, 30, is sus­pected of sex­ual as­sault on a child by a per­son in po­si­tion of trust and sex­ual as­sault on a child pat­tern of abuse, ac­cord­ing to West­min­ster po­lice. School ad­min­is­tra­tors con­tacted po­lice Thurs­day about “an in­ci­dent which oc­curred be­tween a teacher and a stu­dent on the school cam­pus.”

Forbes, who teaches math, is be­ing held at the Adams County jail. He has re­signed.

Two men linked to week­end homi­cide wanted for two more mur­ders B

colorado springs» Two men al­ready al­legedly linked to one Colorado Springs mur­der were named as sus­pects in the deaths of two women who were shot to death early Tues­day morn­ing.

War­rants for first-de­gree mur­der have been is­sued against Richard Al­lon Spanks, 25, and Hay­wood Eu­gene Miller Jr., 24, for al­legedly shoot­ing Jac­que­line Cline, 33, and Vic­to­ria Loftis, 23.

The women’s bod­ies were found in the 3500 block of Moss­wood Lane at 2:53 a.m. Tues­day, ac­cord­ing to a news re­lease by Lt. Howard Black, po­lice spokesman.

Miller was ar­rested and is in cus­tody in con­nec­tion to the mur­der of Mar­cus Wil­liams, 21, who was found dead Satur­day night inside a home on the 2000 block of Carmel Drive. Wil­liams and an­other man were shot.

The other man was in­jured crit­i­cally.

An ar­rest war­rant has been is­sued for Spanks, who is con­sid­ered armed and “ex­tremely dan­ger­ous.” In­ves­ti­ga­tors are try­ing to lo­cate a ve­hi­cle regis­tered to Spanks, a red 2010 Kia Forte EX with the Colorado li­cense plate QNC 845.

Nine an­te­lope, two deer killed in poach­ing case

B kit car­son county» Colorado Parks and Wildlife of­fi­cials are of­fer­ing a $5,000 re­ward for in­for­ma­tion in solv­ing a poach­ing case. In a two-night span in Novem­ber, a poacher or poach­ers shot nine an­te­lope and two white-tailed deer, ac­cord­ing to wildlife Of­fi­cer Aaron Ber­scheid. The big-game an­i­mals were shot near Seib­ert, in the south­west corner of Kit Car­son County. The car­casses were then left to rot, he said.
