Idea for Broncos stadium name

The Denver Post - - OPINION - Re: Bryan Whiting,

“Sights set on rights,” Nov. 24 business news story.

Through contributions from both the people and the state, we should name the Broncos’ stadium Colorado Ski Country Stadium, as opposed to selling the name to a corporation. Colorado is the business we should be promoting. Through a combination of money from the tourism promotion budget, economic development budget and $5 added to the price of each Broncos ticket, the money for naming rights could be obtained. Any marketing professional would tell you that given the low cost per contact this would generate in the various media, it would be the most effective use of our tourism dollars. Colorado can’t afford ads that are seen nationally, but they would get multiple exposures through naming the stadium Colorado Ski Country Stadium.
