QBs lead way to victories
With his future college coach, Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh, in the stadium to watch him play, Dylan McCaffrey delivered a vintage performance in his final high school game. He didn’t make any turnovers, stood tough in the face of the vaunted Pomona rush and even caught a pass too. Now, he passes the torch to his brother Luke, who was clutch at wideout, cornerback and returner all season for Valor Christian.
• Pine Creek quarterback Brock Domann threw a 17yard pass to Wyatt Wieland on a third-and-4 play in the third quarter to extend a crucial game-tilting drive. The Eagles scored six plays later and never again trailed. “To set a bar so high and then to reach it, is the best joy in life,” Domann said.
