The Denver Post - - LIFE & CULTURE - — Sara Grant

friday. Taking a non-traditional spin on holiday lights, the Art District on Santa Fe in Denver will ditch the colorful displays for glowing luminarias. The family-friendly Luminarias de Santa Fe Drive will be on Dec. 9 from 5 to 10 p.m. to both celebrate the season as well as beautify the neighborhood. The event will feature blocks of glowing luminarias, carolers, mariachis, Aztec dancers and more. Visitors will make their own luminarias at one of the four stations: Colorado Housing Assistance Corp., 670 Santa Fe Dr.; VFW Post #1, 841 Santa Fe Dr.; Interstate Kitchen & Bar, 1001 Santa Fe Dr.; and Molecule Effect, 1201 Santa Fe Dr. Volunteers will help place them on the street.
