The U.S. Postal Ser­vice has added Sun­day of­fice hours and pack­age de­liv­ery in the Den­ver metro area to help han­dle the flurry of hol­i­day parcels.

USPS is ex­pect­ing a record 750 mil­lion pack­ages this hol­i­day sea­son, up more than 12 per­cent from last year, the postal ser­vice said.

In the Den­ver metro area, six Post Of­fices will of­fer full re­tail op­er­a­tions Dec. 11 and 18 while more than a dozen oth­ers will be open for pack­age pickup only. Many will have ex­tended Satur­day hours, as well.

Many Den­ver area neigh­bor­hoods also will see mail car­ri­ers mak­ing pack­age de­liv­er­ies on Sun­days be­tween now and Christ­mas.

•Aurora Main, 16890 E. Alameda Park­way: 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

•Den­ver GMF Fi­nance, 7550 E. 53rd Place: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

•Den­ver Sullivan, 8700 E. Jef­fer­son Ave.: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

•Lake­wood, 10799 W. Alameda Ave.: 11 a.m.- 3 p.m.

•North­glenn, 11887 Wash­ing­ton St.: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

•Boul­der Main, 1905 15th St.: 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
