Po­lis to hold com­mu­nity meet­ing

love­land » U.S. House Rep. Jared Po­lis, D-Colo., will host a com­mu­nity meet­ing in Fort Collins Tues­day to dis­cuss lo­cal and na­tional is­sues with con­stituents.

The event will take place at 5:30-7 p.m. at the Foothills Uni­tar­ian Church, 1815 York­town Ave.

The town hall is open to the pub­lic and is open to dis­cus­sion of any is­sue, “where Po­lis in­vites all con­stituents to ask ques­tions or share con­cerns about any is­sue im­por­tant to them or their fam­i­lies,” ac­cord­ing to a news re­lease.

The House rep­re­sen­ta­tive will also be meet­ing Tues­day with De­ferred Ac­tion for Child­hood Ar­rivals, or DACA, stu­dents. DACA is the ex­ec­u­tive or­der Pres­i­dent Barack Obama signed in 2014 that pre­vented those who im­mi­grated as chil­dren to be de­ported.

Ad­di­tion­ally, Po­lis is sched­uled to tour the Fort Collins mosque.
