Pumphrey passed for­mer Wis­con­sin star Ron Dayne’s mark of 6,397 ca­reer yards on a 15-yard run against the Cougars early in the fourth quar­ter, and wrapped up his sen­sa­tional Aztecs ca­reer with a to­tal of 6,405 yards.

“It means the world to me,” said Pumphrey, whose se­nior to­tal of 2,133 yards rushing ranks in the top 10 all time for an FBS player.
