Time to “stand up to Trump”

The Denver Post - - PERSPECTIVE - Eleanor Brown,

During the election, Rep. Mike Coffman said he would “stand up to Trump.” Well, here is Coffman’s moment.

Since the election, Donald Trump has proven his disinterest in democracy, ethics and leadership. He has proposed billionaire campaign donors as Cabinet members, many of them unqualified, some of whom actively oppose the work of their departments.

He has refused to deal with the conflicts of interest his business dealings pose, especially with foreign governments, instead setting himself up to benefit financially from holding public office. He has continued to lie, spread false information, and attack people who disagree with him.

And now we have CIA confirmation that Russia interfered in our election to install him in office.

Rep. Coffman can work with his party’s electors and colleagues in the House to select a qualified leader worthy of the office. He can protect the Americans he has been elected to represent.
