PAC­ERS BEAT WIZARDS ON YOUNG’S RUN­NER WITH 0.9 LEFT

in­di­anapo­lis» Thad­deus Young made a run­ner with 0.9 sec­onds left, giv­ing the Pac­ers a 107-105 vic­tory over the Wizards on Mon­day night.

Paul Ge­orge scored 27 points and Jeff Teague had 23, but the Pac­ers needed the last of Young’s 12 points af­ter the Wizards scored seven straight to tie.

With 4.6 sec­onds re­main­ing, Young took the in­bounds pass at the top of the key, squared up his de­fender, Marki­eff Mor­ris, then drove and put up his run­ner from the left side.

MON­DAY’S HIGHLIGHTS

Paul Mill­sap hit the go-ahead 10-footer with 12.7 sec­onds left, and the Hawks over­came Rus­sell West­brook’s 46 points to beat the Thun­der 110-108. … Jimmy But­ler scored 19 points, Ra­jon Rondo had 10 points, 14 as­sists and eight re­bounds, and the Bulls beat the Pis­tons 113-82. Taj Gibson added 16 points, Robin Lopez had 14 and Dwyane Wade, Doug McDer­mott and Nikola Mirotic had 13 apiece for Chicago. … Karl-An­thony Towns had 28 points and 15 re­bounds, and the Tim­ber­wolves beat the Suns 115-108. An­drew Wig­gins scored 26 points and Zach LaVine added 23 for the Tim­ber­wolves.

Love hurt. Cava­liers for­ward Kevin Love didn’t prac­tice be­cause of a sore left knee and is ques­tion­able for Cleve­land’s game in Mil­wau­kee on Tues­day.
