ONE KILLED, FOUR INJURED IN STABBINGS
One person was killed and four wounded in separate stabbings early Christmas morning in Denver, police said.
Denver Police Department spokesman Sonny Jackson said the two incidents were unrelated, and one suspect is at large.
One of the stabbings occurred around 2 a.m., near the corner of 14th Avenue and Pearl Street in Capitol Hill.
One person was killed, and two others were taken to a hospital in critical condition, Jackson said. One of them is being held as a suspect on charges of first-degree murder, he said.
“We’re not sure what the other person’s role is at this point,” Jackson said.
Police haven’t identified anyone involved.
The other stabbing occurred outside a nightclub on South Colorado Boulevard, near East Iliff Avenue.
Two people were stabbed and taken to a hospital after a fight, Jackson said. The suspect is at large.
