One per­son was killed and four wounded in separate stabbings early Christ­mas morn­ing in Den­ver, po­lice said.

Den­ver Po­lice Depart­ment spokesman Sonny Jack­son said the two in­ci­dents were un­re­lated, and one sus­pect is at large.

One of the stabbings oc­curred around 2 a.m., near the cor­ner of 14th Av­enue and Pearl Street in Capi­tol Hill.

One per­son was killed, and two oth­ers were taken to a hospi­tal in crit­i­cal con­di­tion, Jack­son said. One of them is be­ing held as a sus­pect on charges of first-de­gree mur­der, he said.

“We’re not sure what the other per­son’s role is at this point,” Jack­son said.

Po­lice haven’t iden­ti­fied any­one in­volved.

The other stab­bing oc­curred out­side a night­club on South Colorado Boule­vard, near East Iliff Av­enue.

Two peo­ple were stabbed and taken to a hospi­tal af­ter a fight, Jack­son said. The sus­pect is at large.
