No, Trump voters want change

The Denver Post - - OPINION - Re: Stephen B. Pacetti,

“Obama’s burdens become Trump’s,” Dec. 21 editorial.

Regarding President Barack Obama’s burdens being passed on to President-elect Donald Trump, the editorial board writes, “We hope Trump studies and emulates the approach of his predecessor in dealing with them.”

This is a ridiculous notion. Have you moved to an alternate universe? Or not been paying attention to the recent presidential campaign? The reason Trump supporters voted for him was precisely because we do not want him to emulate the departing president — in any way. We want change.

History is already showing that some of the human suffering in Syria and elsewhere is because of Obama’s decisions, not in spite of them. The idea that somehow America can or should help refugees, etc., is noble, but typical of liberal Democrats who think with their stomachs rather than their heads.
