Technically Speaking: Take Uber to friends, not places

The Denver Post - - TECH KNOW -

Uber now lets you request a ride to a person, rather than a destination. To use the feature, you sync your contacts with the Uber app. When you type a friend’s name in the “where to?” box, your friend gets a request from Uber to provide a location. If they accept, your driver gets the location and your friend gets your ETA. (No word on what happens if your friend moves on to the next bar before your arrive.) And if you feel like Snapping a selfie on the ride, you can do so directly from the Uber app, part of a new integration with Snapchat and Uber.
