los angeles» The Nuggets’ schedule has a lot of quirky twists and turns, but few as odd as a reoccurring theme: Playing the same opponent twice in seven days or fewer.

The Nuggets have had four sets of those games already, including Monday night’s “rematch” with the Clippers at the Staples Center. This season the Nuggets have played Detroit twice in seven days, Utah twice in three days and Dallas twice in a seven-day span.

Denver’s second meeting with the Clippers was unique in that not only did the Nuggets face them twice in six days, both games were on the road. In all of the previous proximity matchups, they were homeroad splits.

Nuggets coach Michael Malone said the odd schedule wasn’t a big deal either way.

“I don’t know if it matters,” Malone said. “But you just played them, and it’s fresh in your mind.”

The Nuggets split wins in two of the other three cases — against Dallas and Utah. Detroit
