Protesters back ACA at Civic Center.

More than 200 people rallied in Civic Center park downtown Saturday to show their support for the Affordable Care Act and to urge Congress to fix — not nix — health care coverage.

Speakers, including former state Sen. Mike Johnston, who is running for governor, shared stories about how the ACA benefited them, whether by covering expensive medical bills from a freak car accident or providing access to care after a lifetime of medical issues.
