Somehow there is still plenty of bounce left in Carter’s knees during his 19th season in the NBA. Carter, who has been a walking, dunking highlight reel for nearly two decades, continues to be a productive asset off the bench for a Grizzlies team occupying the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference playoff race. The 40-yearold North Carolina product is averaging 8.6 points and 3.1 rebounds in February, and his best overall game this month came against the Nuggets in a 119-99 win for the Grizzlies at the Pepsi Center on Feb. 1. Carter made all three of his 3-point attempts in that game on the way to scoring 14 points, along with contributing five rebounds and a season-high six assists.
