Live com­edy shows and podcast tap­ings that pit standups against non-co­me­di­ans have been pop­u­lar for years, but there’s noth­ing like Peter McGraw’s “Funny or True?” The Univer­sity of Colorado pro­fes­sor and co-au­thor of “The Hu­mor Code” re­turns to Boul­der’s Dairy Cen­ter for the Arts on March 18 with an­other pair of comics — and sci­en­tists — who will an­swer ques­tions that au­di­ence mem­bers can then vote on us­ing their smart­phones. The fun­ni­est, or “truthi­est,” win (but re­ally, every­body does) in this bat­tle of wits and in­tel­lect, fea­tur­ing comics Shane Mauss (Los Angeles) and Janae Bur­ris (Den­ver), and sci­en­tists/aca­demics Ste­fanie John­son and Bill Far­rand. 7:30 p.m. 2590 Wal­nut St. in Boul­der. $20-$25.
