In the Bridge­port Re­gion: Kia Nurse scored 29 points and tied an NCAA Tour­na­ment record with nine 3-point­ers to lead No. 1 UConn to a 94-64 win over No. 8 Syra­cuse in a se­cond-round re­match of last year’s na­tional cham­pi­onship game. Nurse hit 10 of her 13 shots, miss­ing three at­tempts from be­hind the arc for the Huskies, who won their 109th straight game and 26th con­sec­u­tive NCAA Tour­na­ment game. That streak in­cludes last April’s 82-51 win over the Or­ange that gave the Huskies their fourth con­sec­u­tive ti­tle. … Kari Korver scored 21 points, hit­ting seven 3-point­ers, and No. 4 UCLA routed

Stan­ford roared to a 39-21 half­time lead and never looked back in ad­vanc­ing to face No. 3 seed Texas on Fri­day night in Lex­ing­ton, Ky. In the Ok­la­homa City Re­gion: Kelsey Plum scored 38 points, adding an­other record to her ca­reer ré­sumé, and No. 3 Washington raced past No. 6 Ok­la­homa 108-82. The Huskies are go­ing to the Sweet 16 in con­sec­u­tive years for the first time in school his­tory, thanks to an of­fen­sive show­case against the Soon­ers. … Asia Durr scored 23 points, Mariya Moore made all five 3-point­ers for 19 points and No. 4 Louisville beat No. 5 Ten­nessee 75-64 in the Round of 32. Durr also be­came the 28th Louisville player to reach 1,000 ca­reer points. In the Stock­ton Re­gion: Mor­gan Manz scored 21 points and had eight re­bounds to lead No. 12 Quin­nip­iac to an 85-78 win over No. 4 Mi­ami. The Bob­cats beat No. 5 Mar­quette in the first round.
