Centennial shooting victim identified
Arapahoe County authorities have identified the 32year-old man fatally shot in the head Wednesday morning outside of a wholesale electronics store in Centennial.
Justin Lee Doe’s death has been ruled a homicide, according to the county coroner, who said Thursday that Doe was killed during an “interaction in the parking lot.”
The shooting happened at about 10:45 a.m. Wednesday outside of QED — also known as Quality Electrical Distribution — on the 7000 block of South Jordan Road. That’s just southeast of the East Arapahoe Road and Jordan Road intersection.
Julie Brooks, a spokeswoman for the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office, said investigators don’t know what prompted the slaying.
The sheriff ’s office would not say if Doe worked at QED.
The county sheriff’s office said it initially responded to the area after receiving reports of gunshots being fired.
Authorities said a suspect in the shooting “possibly left (the) area in an older white sedan,” but that the vehicle was later located and determined to be unrelated to the case.
The suspect is described as a white man wearing a gray or white sleeveless Tshirt, jeans and a black baseball hat turned backward. He also has a large tattoo on his upper right arm. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office.
No arrests have been announced.
“We have somebody out there with a gun who just shot and killed someone,” Brooks told reporters on Wednesday. “Obviously we are concerned.”
She added: “It’s going to be a lengthy investigation.”
