Nuggets: Gary Har­ris, who grew up in Fish­ers, Ind., about 20 miles out­side In­di­anapo­lis, re­turns home play­ing some of the best bas­ket­ball of his ca­reer. The third-year guard is av­er­ag­ing 19.6 points and shoot­ing 53.3 per­cent from the floor and 44.4 per­cent from 3-point range in his last eight games. Har­ris was look­ing for­ward to spend­ing time with friends and fam­ily when the Nuggets landed in In­di­anapo­lis on Thurs­day af­ter­noon. “I’m def­i­nitely go­ing home as soon as we touch down,” Har­ris said. “I can’t wait.” … Wil­son Chan­dler re­turned from a fourgame ab­sence to score 18 points in Wed­nes­day’s win over the Cava­liers. He had a team-high plus-mi­nus of plus-21 in 40 min­utes. Pac­ers: In­di­ana en­tered play Thurs­day as the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Con­fer­ence play­off race, but the Pac­ers were only one game be­hind At­lanta for the No. 5 seed. … The Pac­ers are giv­ing up 98.8 points per game since the all-star break, the sec­ond-best mark in the NBA. … In­di­ana will wear its “Hick­ory” uni­forms, in­spired by the movie “Hoosiers,” for the fifth time this sea­son. The Pac­ers are 2-2 this sea­son when wear­ing the uni­forms, which are de­signed to cel­e­brate sig­nif­i­cant mo­ments in the state’s bas­ket­ball his­tory. … The Pac­ers are 12-5 when point guard Jeff Teague fin­ishes with 10 or more as­sists.
