Avalanche:

Colorado has lost five in a row since the March 15 win over the Red Wings in Denver. … Boston University freshman Clayton Keller, the No. 7 overall pick in the 2016 draft, signed with the Arizona Coyotes on Sunday and joined the team in St. Louis. The signing came after the Terriers lost to Minnesota Duluth in the NCAA West Regional on Saturday. That’s pertinent because Avalanche pick Tyson Jost, the No. 10 overall choice, is in a similar situation after North Dakota was eliminated from the NCAA field Friday night. Jost is 19 and also a freshman, and if he signed with Colorado and played, his three-year entry-level deal would slide to next season because he would play fewer than 10 games. … After the draft, Jost mentioned playing at North Dakota “a year or two,” but his idol, former North Dakota star Jonathan Toews of the Blackhawks, remained in Grand Forks for two seasons.

Calgary got the win over St. Louis when Sean Monahan scored with three seconds left in overtime. That gave the Flames a 1-2 record on their trip after losses at Washington and Nashville.
