Il­le­gal-fire­works bust in Pue­blo un­cov­ers 10 pounds of mar­i­juana and guns

An il­le­gal-fire­works bust in Pue­blo also un­cov­ered 10 pounds of mar­i­juana and three il­le­gal firearms, po­lice said.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors ex­e­cuted a search war­rant about 3 p.m. Wed­nes­day in the 400 block of Gay­lord Av­enue, ac­cord­ing to Pue­blo po­lice.

Of­fi­cers were act­ing on a tip that il­le­gal fire­works were be­ing sold from the res­i­dence.

More than 400 pack­ages of fire­works, worth an es­ti­mated $8,474 were seized. Po­lice also con­fis­cated 10 pounds of mar­i­juana and three firearms.

The home­owner, Jeanette Me­d­ina, 52, was ar­rested on sus­pi­cion of un­law­ful use or sales of fire­works, pos­ses­sion with in­tent to man­u­fac­ture or dis­trib­ute mar­i­juana and pos­ses­sion of a weapon by a pre­vi­ous of­fender. Me­d­ina was booked into the Pue­blo County Jail.
