en­ver Post reporter Kyle Newman caught up with new Metro State men’s basketball coach Michael Bahl, who was named to the po­si­tion May 17, to dis­cuss his basketball phi­los­o­phy, his Road­run­ners roots and more. so it starts with our re­cruit­ing. We want to have a big im­pact here in the state of Colorado and make our pres­ence known lo­cally, and in or­der for us to get back to where we want to go, we have to con­tinue to re­cruit high-char­ac­ter basketball play­ers. about ev­ery­body’s big­gest game on their sched­ule. Guys com­ing in have to un­der­stand that, and that we can’t have an off day with our at­ti­tude or our ef­fort. The RMAC’s get­ting bet­ter — we’re play­ing against re­ally good coaches and re­ally good pro­grams — and we have to play well with that tar­get on our back re­gard­less of who our op­po­nent is.
