Attacks between MSNBC “Morning Joe” hosts and President Trump
“Trump gets it from all sides for trash-talking MSNBC hosts,” June 30 news story.
In defense of Donald Trump’s personal attack on MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski, White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders says he “was pushing back against people who have attacked him day after day after day. Where is the outrage on that?”
Barack Obama was also relentlessly attacked while he was president (often and unfairly by Trump himself ), and I certainly don’t recall him responding with the kind of disrespectful personal insults the president has tweeted.
Trump’s demeanor continues to be repugnant and unpresidential in the extreme. That’s where the outrage is, Ms. Sanders.
Although I wish President Donald Trump would scale back his tweets, if anybody had it coming it was the braindead duo on “Morning Joe.” Apparently the left thinks their right to personally insult the president has no bounds, but if he strikes back it is “so beneath the dignity of the office.”
If Barack Obama had been insulted like Trump has been, the party doing the insulting would have been labeled a racist and worse. The difference is that the media (including The Denver Post) would have scorned the party doing the insulting. With Trump, they scorn the president.
“‘Morning Joe’ hosts: Donald Trump is not well,” July 1 Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough column.
Thanks so much for publishing the column from “Morning Joe” hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough, who wrote: “America’s leaders and allies are asking themselves yet again whether this man is fit to be president.” I think many of us agree that he is not. What I and, I hope, many of the American people are asking ourselves is why Republicans are falling in line behind him. I believe it’s because they are more interested in winning than they are in serving the American people, and I think it’s shameful.
