Vi­o­lent crimes in­creased in 2016

Although crime rates de­clined or re­mained static in most of the 30 largest U.S. cities last year, the rate of vi­o­lent crime per 100,000 peo­ple spiked 3.4 per­cent in Colorado, driven by in­creases in homi­cides, rapes and vi­o­lent as­saults.
