● Flied out to right field in first in­ning against the

Red Sox’s Chris Sale.

● Struck out swing­ing with a run­ner on first in the

third in­ning against the Yan­kees’ Dellin Be­tances. ● Grounded out to sec­ond in the fourth against

Twins’ Bran­don Kint­zler 3B Nolan Are­nado

● Started the game and hit sixth, bat­ting 2-for-2.

● Sin­gled to right-cen­ter in sec­ond in­ning off Sale.

Then he was forced out on a dou­ble play.

● Sin­gled to left to lead off fourth in­ning off Royals’ Ja­son Var­gas but was thrown out by Bos­ton cen­ter fielder Mookie Betts while try­ing to tag up and ad­vance to sec­ond on a fly­ball. 2B DJ LeMahieu

● Did not make an ap­pear­ance in the game. RHP Greg Hol­land

● Pitched the eighth in­ning, giv­ing up no runs on

one hit with two strike­outs.

● Gave up a sin­gle to Cleve­land’s Michael Brantley, and struck out Detroit’s Justin Up­ton and Cleve­land’s Fran­cisco Lin­dor.
