Ac­ci­den­tal shoot­ing at gun show.

A ven­dor set­ting up at the Tan­ner Gun Show on Satur­day af­ter­noon “had a gun dis­charge and strike another em­ployee,” ac­cord­ing to the Adams County Sher­iff of­fice -- al­though of­fi­cials would not dis­close ex­actly how the weapon went off.

The em­ployee was trans­ported to a lo­cal hos­pi­tal and is be­ing treated for a non-life threat­en­ing in­jury, ac­cord­ing to Sgt. Jim Mor­gen.

The event, tak­ing place this weekend at the Den­ver Mart, 451 E. 58th Ave., bills it­self as the Rocky Moun­tain Re­gion’s premier gun show. “Tan­ner Gun Show pro­motes re­spon­si­ble gun own­er­ship through ed­u­ca­tion,” it says on its web­site.

The Adams County Sher­iff’s Of­fice re­ceived the call of an ac­ci­den­tal shoot­ing at 12:17 p.m. on Satur­day. The ac­ci­dent is be­ing in­ves­ti­gated by the Adams County Sher­iff’s Of­fice de­tec­tive divi­sion.
