Accidental shooting at gun show.
A vendor setting up at the Tanner Gun Show on Saturday afternoon “had a gun discharge and strike another employee,” according to the Adams County Sheriff office -- although officials would not disclose exactly how the weapon went off.
The employee was transported to a local hospital and is being treated for a non-life threatening injury, according to Sgt. Jim Morgen.
The event, taking place this weekend at the Denver Mart, 451 E. 58th Ave., bills itself as the Rocky Mountain Region’s premier gun show. “Tanner Gun Show promotes responsible gun ownership through education,” it says on its website.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office received the call of an accidental shooting at 12:17 p.m. on Saturday. The accident is being investigated by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office detective division.
