Padres RHP Luis Perdomo (4-4, 4.54 ERA) at Rockies RHP German Marquez (6-4, 4.36), 6:40 p.m. Monday, AT&T SportsNet; 850 AM With Tyler Chatwood now on the disabled list, there’s more weight than ever on Colorado’s rookie starters. Marquez has shown flashes of his tremendous talent, mixed with bouts of inconsistency and a touch of wildness. He is coming off a solid start against the Chicago White Sox at Coors Field before the all-star break, when he allowed three runs on nine hits over seven innings in Colorado’s 12-4 win. Perdomo already has nine quality starts, going 2-2 with a 2.59 ERA in those starts. He has allowed three or fewer runs in 11 of his 15 outings. Perhaps this game provides a chance for Colorado’s Carlos Gonzalez to break out of his slump. Gonzalez is 5-for-10 with a home run, double and three RBIs against Perdomo.
