The Denver Post - - LIFE & CULTURE -

With more than 4,100 animals from over 600 species, the Denver Zoo has something for animal-lovers of all ages. The newest temporary exhibit, “Dinos! Live at Denver Zoo,” brings even more creatures into the mix — albeit, long-gone, prehistoric ones. There are 21 “terrible lizard” sculptures, 18 of which are animatronic, positioned throughout the zoo near animals they share something in common with. On Friday, guests 21 and older can attend Food Truck Safari, an adults-only happy hour featuring dishes from local food trucks as well as live acoustic music. On Saturday, there’s a DINOS! Prehistoric Party. Tickets at tickets.denverzoo.org. $12 children ages 3 to 11, $17 ages 12 to 64, $14 ages 65+. 2300 Steele St., Denver. Info at denverzoo.org. — Graham Ambrose
