Sus­pect sought in hit-and-run that in­jured child, 11

The Dou­glas County Sher­iff’s De­part­ment is ask­ing for help lo­cat­ing a sus­pect who crashed into an 11-year-old child Tues­day morn­ing and drove away.

The child, who was se­ri­ously in­jured in the in­ci­dent, was struck around 11:30 a.m. in Park- er, said Su­san Me­d­ina, spokes­woman for the Colorado Bureau of In­ves­ti­ga­tion. The gen­der of the child has not been re­leased.

The sus­pect was driv­ing a 2016 or 2017 white Lexus CT200 with a black stripe, ac­cord­ing to the alert. The car was dam­aged on the pas­sen­ger side and the mir­ror was bro­ken. The car was last seen north­bound on Stonegate Park­way head­ing to­ward Pine Grove Lane.
