Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel at Glacier

The Denver Post - - FEATURES - By Allyson Reedy Provided by Glacier

Real talk: All of Glacier’s flavors qualify as must-eat ice creams. Every single flavor is perfection, the ultimate in frozen dairy achievement.

But, alas, there can be only one ice cream of the week, and general manager Daniel Arkles chose Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel as his crème de la cream.

The deep-chocolate base is excellent, sure, but it’s the scratch-made salted caramel sauce that really takes it over the edge of yum. Sweet and rich and salty, it’s a standout — and considering Glacier has made more than 1,000(!) flavors, that’s saying something.

My devotion to Glacier’s ice cream is proven by the stack of filled-out punch cards in my purse that I always forget to use. Yes, my doctor may say funny things like, “Excessive amounts of sugar are linked to every major disease,” and “Eating that much ice cream will kill you,” but surely she’s mistaken. Or maybe she just hasn’t tried Glacier’s Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel ice cream, the most delicious of death wishes.
