GREELEY CAR DEALER CHARGED WITH 166 COUNTS OF THEFT

A Greeley car dealer now faces 166 counts of theft in con­nec­tion with or­ga­nized crime and il­le­gal busi­ness prac­tices.

The Weld Dis­trict At­tor­ney’s of­fice on Fri­day filed ad­di­tional charges against No­man Boroumand, in­clud­ing in­clude vi­o­la­tions of the Colorado Or­ga­nized Crime Con­trol Act, theft, forgery, tax eva­sion, fil­ing a false tax re­turn and com­puter crimes.

Boroumand, the owner of 1st Choice Mo­tors, was charged with more than 30 counts of sex­ual as­sault and hu­man traf­fick­ing in June. The traf­fick­ing charges stem from al­le­ga­tions that he and an­other used-car dealer, Fares Al­rashed, sex­u­ally as­saulted as many as four women. Both men were in­dicted by a grand jury in late June. Boroumand’s bond is now set at $4.5 mil­lion. — Greeley Tri­bune
