- — John Aguilar, The Denver Post

The metro area’s newest retail outlet center, set to open in September, on Tuesday unveiled an initial roster of tenants for the 330,000-square-foot Denver Premium Outlets in Thornton.

Sneakers? Nike Factory Store will have them. Handbags? Visit Kate Spade New York. Dapper duds? Those can be found at the Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store.

Simon Property Group, which is building the mall at Interstate 25 and 136th Avenue, said in its announcement that early commitments also include Michael Kors, Coach, Armani Exchange, American Eagle Outfitters, Skechers, Banana Republic, Cole Haan, Johnston & Murphy and Converse.

The project, which broke ground in the fall, is expected to attract around 80 tenants when fully built. It will provide a new destination for outlet-store lovers, filling a lengthy distance between large outlet malls to the south and north on the I-25 corridor — the Outlets at Castle Rock and the Outlets at Loveland.
