CU MUSIC STUDENTS CARNEGIEBOUND
For the second time since 2016, the winners of the University of Colorado’s musicperformance competitions will play Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The 8 p.m. show on Nov. 5 rewards CU’s College of Music winners with a spot on the prestigious stage, along with graduate quartetinresidence Ajax Quartet.
“For any musician or actress aspiring as they grow up, that’s kind of the known dream,” said Alicia Jo Baker, an alumna of the College of Music who will perform at Carnegie next month, in a press statement. “And to represent CU Boulder is really exciting.”
The program will feature both chamber and solo works spanning “classical mainstays and contemporary pieces, including an original composition by CU Boulder alumnus Conor Abbot
