Con­certs in the Park kicks off the sea­son

One of Dun­dalk’s long­stand­ing sum­mer­time tra­di­tions is back!

Con­certs in the Park kicked off its 27th sea­son last Thurs­day with a rous­ing per­for­mance by clas­sic rock cover band No Drama.

Co­or­di­nated this year by Joe Buc­cheri, the con­certs will be held each Thurs­day through Aug. 24 at 6:30 p.m. at Dun­dalk’s Her­itage Park.

Next week’s fea­tured per­former is the Russ Greene Band (blues, rock), fol­lowed by Chris Pres­ley (Elvis trib- ute) on July 27, Point Boys (clas­sic rock) on Aug. 3, Fam­ily Tra­di­tion (coun­try rock) on Aug. 10, Func­tion­al­ity (R&B) on Aug. 17 and Pet Rock (clas­sic rock) on Aug. 24.

The Con­certs in the Park are spon­sored by the Dun­dalk-East­field Recre­ation Coun­cil, Dun­man­way Apart­ments, the Dun­dalkPat­ap­sco Neck His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety, Amer­i­can Me­dia En­ter­tain­ment and Costas Inn.

No Drama played clas­sic rock hits at the Con­certs in the Park opener on July 13.

Ariel Bum­balough, singer for the band Who Knew, per­formed the Na­tional An­them as young flag-bear­ers stood at at­ten­tion.


The Russ Greene Band will per­form blues and rock dur­ing Dun­dalk Con­certs in the Park on Thurs­day, July 20, at 6:30 p.m.

The gazebo in Her­itage Park will host a dif­fer­ent band each Thurs­day at 6:30 p.m. through Aug. 24.
