Post 58 29th Di­vi­sion As­so­ci­a­tion seek­ing World War II vet­er­ans

Lo­cal Post 58 of the 29th Di­vi­sion As­so­ci­a­tion is search­ing for World War II vet­er­ans who par­tic­i­pated in the lib­er­a­tion of France. The French gov­ern­ment will award the Le­gion of Honor to vet­er­ans who par­tic­i­pated in the lib­er­a­tion of France dur­ing the Sec­ond World War. The project is an on­go­ing ef­fort to find vet­er­ans that are still liv­ing of lo­cal fam­i­lies to be rec­og­nized at a cer­e­mony in Novem­ber.

Reg­u­lar mem­bers are in­di­vid­u­als (and their de­scen­dants) who serve or served in any unit that was or­ganic to or af­fil­i­ated with the 29th Di­vi­sion at any point in the his­tory of the di­vi­sion. As­so­ciate mem­bers are in­di­vid­u­als who served in any other branch of the mil­i­tary ser­vices or had a fam­ily mem­ber who served in any other branch of the mil­i­tary.
