This year’s circumstances have challenged The Education Foundation of BCPS to think outside the box in many ways.

The presentation of scholarships is just one more initiative that challenges us to think creatively so that we can congratulate those students within a different platform.

In previous years, we presented scholarships to students at their school’s award ceremony. This year, as remote learning, social distancing and event cancellations require adjusting, we will be conducting our presentations in a new format.

A short video clip for each scholarship recipient will be presented by the foundation’s Board Members and Advisory Council Members which and posted on the foundation’s social media platforms.

One short video for each student will be showcased. We will showcase one collective presentation celebrating all scholars receiving scholarship awards from the foundation in a video that will be available for viewing on our website’s scholarship page.

To see the video clips that celebrate our scholars during the upcoming weeks, you can follow the foundation on social media (Facebook @EducationFoundationBCPS, Instagram FoundationBCPS, Twitter @foundationbcps) and on the foundation website.

Recipients are those who received both STEM (Science, Technology, Mathematics & Engineering) and BEEF (Business, Economics, Entrepreneur, & Finance) scholarships directly from the foundation as well as private philanthropic donor scholarships that are managed within the foundation’s framework.
