A closer look at the bands who will perform at the 2020 Dundalk Virtual Heritage Fair Begins on
Were you at the 2019 Dundalk Heritage Fair? Did you stand in front of the Dunmanway Stage on a Saturday afternoon and listen to an AC/DC tribute band?
If the answer to the second question is “yes,” you witnessed a performance by High Voltage, a band composed of five musicians that call themselves the premier AC/DC tribute band in the country. When the Eagle approached High Voltage about submitting a performance for the 2020 Dundalk Virtual Heritage Fair, rhythm guitarist Mike DiMayo and his bandmates were eager to help.
This high-tempo band that pays attention to detail when paying tribute to AC/ DC will be rocking your electronic device on July 4. The seven-man crew will be the opening act for the 2020 Dundalk Virtual Heritage Fair.
Dimayo performs backup vocals in addition to shredding classic hits like “Back in Black” and “Thunderstruck” while on stage. According to his bio on the band’s official website, www.highvoltage.rocks, Dimayo has performed on Good Morning America and at other charitable and special events, with artists from major bands, including Night Ranger, Bon Jovi, Kiss, The Who, Billy Joel, The Saturday Night Live Band, .38 Special, Ted Nugent, Southside Johnny and The Ramones.
Chris Kute is on lead guitar, Chris Gallagher is on base, and Mark Boner, Jr. is the band’s drummer. Lead vocals are handled by three different frontmen – Francis Crouse, Don Shoener and Forrest Kline.
