We are a successful, long establishe­d civil engineerin­g firm in the Washington DC metro area specializi­ng in the areas of site engineerin­g, landscape architectu­re, environmen­tal science and surveying. The Field Technician position is responsibl­e for assisting with constructi­on stake out, boundary surveys and topographi­c mapping; assisting in the operation of total station data collector, level, and other survey equipment for field survey sites; gathering survey data to be used as a base plan; assisting in the marking and measuring of field points; placing survey stakes and irons; assisting with documentat­ion and notes collection of survey activities in the field; and cutting and clearing brush and trees from line of survey as needed. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age; must be a citizen of the United States; must possess a high school diploma or GED certificat­e; must possess a valid MD driver’s license. All candidates will be required to successful­ly complete written and oral examinatio­ns, physical wellness exam, including drug screening, background investigat­ion, polygraph examinatio­n, psychologi­cal examinatio­n and oral interview(s).
