We are a successful, long established civil engineering firm in the Washington DC metro area specializing in the areas of site engineering, landscape architecture, environmental science and surveying. The Field Technician position is responsible for assisting with construction stake out, boundary surveys and topographic mapping; assisting in the operation of total station data collector, level, and other survey equipment for field survey sites; gathering survey data to be used as a base plan; assisting in the marking and measuring of field points; placing survey stakes and irons; assisting with documentation and notes collection of survey activities in the field; and cutting and clearing brush and trees from line of survey as needed. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age; must be a citizen of the United States; must possess a high school diploma or GED certificate; must possess a valid MD driver’s license.
