For more than 50 years, com­mu­nity busi­ness own­ers and in­di­vid­u­als have shown their sup­port of Mary­land’s youth through par­tic­i­pa­tion as buy­ers at the Mary­land State Fair Live­stock Sale, in the Cow Palace.

Youth use the pro­ceeds from the sale of their live­stock to in­vest in their ed­u­ca­tion or new live­stock projects. The youth learn re­spon­si­bil­ity by car­ing for their an­i­mals, how to make wise man­age­ment de­ci­sions and plan for the fu­ture.

“This year we are ex­cited to ex­pand the Live­stock Sale by al­low­ing sup­port­ers to bid on­line through cow­buyer.com,” said Mary­land State Fair Di­rec­tor of Agricultur­e Pro­grams Robert Fogle.
