Long Story Short – Attending Police Training

The Dundalk Eagle - - BY THE PEOPLE - By DELEGATE BOB LONG

I was honored to be invited and have an opportunity to visit the Baltimore County Police training facility at CCBC Dundalk.

I was given the opportunity to participate in several training scenarios. it was one of the most informative and intense site visits that I have ever attended. This event gave me the opportunity and insight of the vigorous intense ongoing training that is being taught to Cadets and also seasoned police officers. They are taught de escalation skills that prepare them to serve and protect all the people in this county.

I am proud and grateful of these heroes and their commitment as they are willing to sacrifice their lives to protect us. We must remember everyday when they leave their homes of the great sacrifices their families endure each day.

We are now living in some turbulent and stressful times. We must put an end to this violence that is taking place in this great country. We all need to take a step back and come together to work through the problems. The unlawful rioting and looting must stop. Defunding the police only will only exacerbate this ongoing problem. We need more welltrained police officers.
